Hamburg Central Station

The station itself is a masterpiece of architecture. The interior is ideal for railway enthusiasts because the trains run at a lower floor and you can spot them very easily from the top floors. It seems to be busy all the time not only with respect to trains but also passenger numbers. If you rather prefer to avoid too many people you might visit some other close spots to the station. There are three bridges for road traffic from which you will have fantastic views at passing trains. Just keep in mind that the places around the station leave some space for antisocial behaviour and you should be there rather in the morning that at other day times. This might sound scary but believe us it isn't that bad. However, if you pick the right times in general you can even see some Danish and Polish Intercity trains there.
